Being respectful is a learned behavior. teach your kids some standard etiquette when surrounded by others. Greeting others with a "hello" and a handshake can boost confidence in a child, making themselves known and showing interest in someone. Please and thank you are valuable manners to have, they will learn what making a request is. Teach them to listen when someone is speaking and not to interrupt someone while they are speaking. Have make a hand signal when they would like to speak. With some simple tools your children will feel confident in relating with others.
