Parenting: The Challenge

It’s important to teach your children good social skills which will enable them to grow and develop and cope with their surroundings. Children learn a lot by imitation. They observe their parents and repeat it. Parents need to set an example of a caring sharing and loving person. When your child displays socially correct behavior praise them by letting them know you appreciate their good behavior. WHen you see that your child may be being a bully or not treating others well take them aside and let them know. Share with them the importance of sharing. Explain things to them as much as possible so they understand the importance of their behavior. As they grow older they will have a healthy view of how to treat others.
