Parenting: The Challenge

The first time your child goes to preschool can be a challenge for you and for them. You want them to have a good time, play with other kids and be able to become socialized in a nurturing creative environment. Some kids have a really hard time after you leave, becoming upset and hard to deal with. For the first few days you can try being there with them and gradually making your time there shorter and shorter eventually being able to just drop them off and say goodbye. Another thing to try is to give them photos of the family. If they get sad or lonely you can tell them to look at the photos and remember that their family loves them and wants them to do well in school. Just know that both of you will get through it.
