Cursing Toddlers

It can be tough when your toddler starts to talk to keep cursing at bay. They repeat every word you say and the last words you want them to repeat are the curse words. Try as much as you can not to use them in front of your little one, but be advised there will be times you’ll slip up. They see you saying them of course they want to emulate. What is most important is to teach that language has the power to convey impressions about other people. That there is a time and place and a code of being polite that applies to certain kinds of speech. It may difficult when they are young to explain that to them, but letting them know that those kinds of words are not very nice may help keep them from saying it.
